MINIVAP ON-LINE is a process monitoring analyzer for the determination of the vapor pressure of gasoline, crude oil, LPG and NPG.
Also, the vapor-liquid ratio (LVR) of gasoline can be measured. The measuring principle is identical to the worldwide used laboratory instruments MINVAP VPS and LPG and therefore MINIVAP ON-LINE produces equivalent results.
Up to 2 different sample streams can be connected to one single analyzer. It is the only available process vapor pressure tester that fully complies to the industry relevant ASTM standards for gasoline (ASTM D6378), crude oil (D6377) and LPG (D6897). The unmatched accuracy makes refineries save thousands of Dollars each day!

Applications
The measuring principle is based on the patented triple expansion method of Grabner Instruments´ worldwide approved and accepted laboratory vapor pressure tester for gasoline and crude oil: MINIVAP VPS. The US-EPA declared MINIVAP the official reference instrument for the USA in 1993.
With MINIVAP ON-LINE, the vapor pressure of gasoline (D 6378 / D 5191), crude oil (D 6377 / D 323), liquid petroleum gas (D 1267) and the vapor-liquid ratio temperature of gasoline (D 5188) can be determined.
With possible connection of up to 2 different sample streams, all of these measurements can be performed with one single instrument.
The advanced MINIVAP method considerably improves the quality of your measurement and leads to complete accuracy. This offers the possibility to blend as close as 0.3 kPa (0.04 psi) to the official limits, saving refineries thousand of dollars each year just by avoiding product give-away!

Principle
The sample flows from the sample conditioning system via a quick connector (3) and the sample inlet valve (4) into the measuring chamber. The automatic sample introduction and the volume adjustment are accomplished by a piston with an integrated pressure transducer (1). The measuring chamber (2) with a total volume of 5 mL is rinsed with 2.5 mL and filled with 1 mL. After closing the valve (4), the single or triple expansion to 5 mL (with the sample under vacuum condition) is obtained by further strokes of the piston. The temperature of the measuring cell is controlled with a high-power thermoelectric module (5) and measured with a precision Platinum sensor (6). To achieve fast pressure equilibrium, especially for crude oil, the measuring unit is rocked during the test procedure.
